An exceptional early 18th century Louis XV commode from the town of Nimes, in Provence. Made from solid walnut with fine hand carvings. Thick apron pierced with beautiful serpentine front carvings with curved legs ending in scroll toes.
Two dovetail drawers with original bronze hardware, lock and key.
Original patina with wax finish. Minor restoration on one leg.
